  • Results of police checks or other background checks (with your consent)

  • Conduct police checks where a role is safetycritical or legally required 

  • Contact you about the progress of your application 

  • Maintain employment records if you join SEQ Fire

  • Licence or registration bodies to verify qualifications

6. How long SEQ Fire keeps your information 

SEQ Fire retains resumes and associated records indefinitely for reference in future recruitment campaigns, unless you request that we delete them or we are legally required to do so sooner. 

 

7. Access and correction 

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer (details in Section 10). We will respond within a reasonable period and comply with the APPs when giving access or making corrections. 

 

8. Privacy complaints 

If you believe we have breached your privacy, please contact our Privacy Officer in writing using the details below. We will investigate and respond in accordance with our obligations under the Privacy Act. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). 

 

9. Changes to this policy 

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is available on request and will indicate the date of the latest revision.
